1. So they can get into the cell since they are too big to just pass threw.
2. So they have enough power to go threw the membrane.

1. It only lets in somethings and not others.
3. It makes the food for the cell. It is made of sugar.

I decided to do Questions 2 and 3
2. They need the ATP because they
are using Active Transport therefore that
will let them pass through.
3. They need to make a glucose model
therefore so that the cell will let them through.

Chapter 2

GAME
2. They need ATP because they are using active transport and it requires energy for them to pass through
3. The cell only lets in things that it needs, not what it doesn't need, the glucose is a disguise so that it will let them pass through
CELL MEMBRANE FUNCTIONS
2. It requires ATP and once it gets it, it will open up long enough for what it wants to let in if it is pretty large
3. Glucose supplys the cell with a food source and also so that it can perform cellular respiration
BONUS
Proteins-molecules that perform various functions for the cell
In the game there are worker proteins that clean up useless parts of things
There are also transport proteins that allow things to pass into and out of the cell

Chapter 1

Tumors are bad becuase they use nutrients and take up space. Nano Robots are not real, but they could possibally be used in a Sci-Fi movies. The First level was pretty easy.

the next chapter

1. to enter the cell
2. to use the transport protein and enter the cell.
3.so that the cell sees her as a nutrient and allow acsess into the cell.
4. the cell membrane allows certain things through it but not all in other words selective.
5.you use energy or ATP to go through the transport protein.
6.it provides energy to the cell because it is made of sugar.

As most of you know, in chapter 2 of the Nano Game, Aerin spends some time trying to get inside of the cell. Please post answers to two of the three questions about the game and two of the three questions about the function of the cell membrane.

1. The cell membrane is a selective barrier. Explain what that means?

BONUS: What are proteins? Name some kinds of proteins in the game and describe what they do. There are five proteins in chapter 2!

Nanobots

Nanobots are not real, there isnt anything like them in real science.
I have'nt got threw the first level so I'm not sure how to answer the questions.
I am going to try right now to beat the first level!

Nanobots are little people that run into the cell and protect the body from bad things. The white blood cells in our body are then things that protect the cell. For being a school game it is actually pretty fun. =)

1st day?!

So I found that I'm not very skilled when it comes to this game! There are no such thing as nonobots but they are little people that run around and save your body from bad things. In real life we have White blood cells to do that for us. They surround cancerious cells and kill them off. Thats how they work I guess.

the robbot that i am is a nanobot they try to save the cell. nanobots are fake there are not little robot people running around shooting things with a gun inside you! =) they're like white blood cells. white blood cells kill the bad things that are in your body. a malignant tumor is cancerous cells and they keep multiplying and dividing and then the tumor just affects the organs and they can't work right. if your sick it attacks the virus. they engulf it (eat it) pretty much!.

Are the Robots in the game. No they are not real. Yeah because it does similiar function as in real life. It gets bigger and take over the organs and kills them. They engulf something..

Well ya see them nanobots were supposed to be white blood cells. well the nanobot dude itself doesn't run through the body but white blood cells do. well no, there aint, but really there is, white blood cells are pretty important in your body. that malignant tumor will expand so far that it crowds the organs so they don't work right. the white blood cells run and attack all the stuff that shouldn't be there and get rid of them or just eat them. they would most likely attack the stuff that isn't supposed to be there. the engulf the bad things and eat um right up.

Nanobots are a team of bots that search the body of harmful things. Nanobots are not real. There are things in the body like them. Cancires cells take over an organism by sucking all the life out of that cell. Purpuse of the white blood cell is to kill bad cells or virieses. White blood cells attack by surrounding the thing it is taking in.

NanoBots

Um i have learned the structure and function of a cell through this game. The nanobots are the white blood cells that attack all the bad things take them out. There is actually a nanobot but it is resembles a white blood cell that are in your body.

Nanobots are robots, but they aren't real. They go around and fight things in the body. We learned about the malignant tumor and white blood cells. The malignant tumor multiplies and damages all the surrounding cells. The white blood cells attacks all the harmful things in the body and engulfs them. These would be like viruses and stuff.

Nanobots are just robots that aren’t real. White blood cells fight stuff off. They dissolve viruses by pulling them in. Acids dissolve them. I learned that nano legends is dumb. I got better stuff to do. Tumors like take stuff away from cells.

What I learned.

I learned that cancerous cells multiply quickly. And they like to take over other cells space - as they grow. They are spiked, and when they multiply - they multiply off of each other. That allows them to produce more quickly than regular cells.And that lysosomes will break down - digest what take over.

Nano Legends

i learned that cancerous cells are dangerous... and that they divide uncontrollably in a short amount of time. If you do not kill them quickly, they are covered in little spikes i guess...

What I learned during Nano Legends!

I learned that while playing Nano Legends, that the White Blood Cell will engulf bacteria and destroy them! I also learned that video games can be fun, and still teach you something new! Even though, the technology for Nano Legends is far off in the future. It, no doubt will be an awesome adventure both Gamewise and intellectually! What I learned from it, is substancial!

This game is pretty interesting, except im not as good at it and that maybe the real reason why i get frusterated with it sometimes haha..it was interesting how they were talking about the cancer cells that was really interesting.

Too small, are we?

Yesterday was my first day playing the NanoLegends game. At first I thought it was going to be boring, but it's not that bad of a game, though. The only thing that needs to be changed is the dialogue; some of it sounds like it was translated from Japanese.
What we learned about was the malignant tumors, passive transport, active transport, ATP, and all of that good stuff. Once I got past that, the game struck me as a cell-themed Resident Evil, almost.

Nanobots are microscopic robots. They are not real, only in scifi movies. I guess ower imune system is like them. Tumors eat nutrients that our cells need and take up space. White blood cells protect our bodies from from virises. They pull a viris inside them and disolve them with acids.
